Driving around in the new car

I haven't had much time lately to post, so I'll give a run down of what I've been doing the last few days.
My friend got a new car and we've been driving every where all the time. Every Thursday night hundreds of boy racers meet in various locations around the Hutt valley, there's 3 main spots where different things happen, we mainly go just to watch others, see some nice cars and meet people. The police are always around which keeps the speeding down, apart from on the high way which is usually people racing to see who can get to speed first.

On Friday and Saturday we just cruised through Courtney Place in Wellington, just watching the party goers and passers by, LOL drunk people are funny.

Well I'll try not to be so busy LOL, womp womp.

Lazy day 40 Year Old Virgin The Cave and a new car

Didn't get up to much today watched a couple of movies, 40 Year Old Virgin which was ok had a few funny moments, seemed to break away from that Dodge Ball, Wedding Crashers feel a little which was kinda refreshing, The Cave was pretty exciting in a strait to video feel sorta reminded me of the Poseidon adventure.
My friend got his new car today, he already put his chromies on, looks fat all it needs now is to be lowered, tinted and exhausted.

Night out on the town

Well I have no more money left I pissed it all away having a great night out on the town, good time though, met a lot of new people saw a few fights, the usual Wellington thing.
Was also the last cruise in my mates car before he picks up his new one, MORE POWER!!!

Finally got me some cash

After that trip to Taupo I was running low on cash now I've got some, got payed, earned a buck.
Time to spend it, rent me some games, night out on the town, I'm loving it... MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

After the trip from Taupo I've been finding it hard to get back into the swing of things. Haven't been up to much, just relaxing. Watched Lost last night I can't seem to get enough of that show.

Trip to lake Taupo

We left at 9:30am and arrived in Taupo at 5:30pm, we had to make a few detours but that's a long trip in, especially if your in the back of a small sports cars. We stayed at a Go-Global Backpackers at $22 a night, Cost me $66 for 3 nights, the room we had slept 4, two sets of bunks with toilet and shower. Go-Global had a very nice feel, nice common room, huge deck where we spent most nights drinking up and meeting other travelers.

We went and saw a few of the sights that Taupo has to offer (most of the time we were to hung over to fully take it all in).

Huka Falls always amazes me. So many tourists there though, had a hard time walking around because of everyone taking photos.

We also went and watched people bungy for awhile, I hadn't seen this before, was pretty freaked out seeing the first couple jump, wish I had, had enough money to have taken the plunge. Taupo Bungy.

Most of our time was spent at the backpackers though, met a lot of cool people there, the whole place reminds me of a college dorm, very relaxed. Go-global is located directly above a Bar with about 5 other bars located with in 30 seconds walk of the backpackers. I had a little trouble getting into the bars the first night ( I was farely drunk ), what I noticed is that the drinking laws in Taupo are a lot more strict than what they are down here in Wellington.

Very good time up there in Taupo, I'd recommend Go-Global as a place to stay very cheap and convenient.

The trip back to Wellington took us about 11 hours, huge traffic on a road that should have taken us about 15 minutes took us 2 and a half hours.

I always appreciate home more when I've been away, it's so good.

I didn't forget anything hehe.

Easter trip to lake Taupo

Over Easter I will be going to Lake Taupo, I like to be organized so I thought I'd make a check list of what I need to take on this trip.

Lake Taupo is one of my most favorite places to go on holiday, it has so much to offer. Although I'm mainly going to be partying, if I had more money I'd go jet boating, bungee jumping or trout fishing instead.

So here's my item check list ( I always like to take more than I need " better to have it and not use it than to need it and not have it")

If I've left any crucial items out of the list please suggest what I could add, I'm always forgetting one thing I could have used on my trips.

Taupo Easter Trip Lake List

I'm a bit spent

The last post was pretty big and now i'm spent.
I think i missed a day.

My day at 2hot2handle

Big day of cars, babes, noise and jet cars at Westpactruststadium. When we left for 2hot2handle gray clouds were rolling over (thought, dang if it rains no car action) but as we entered town it was sunny as. We parked the car and walked what seemed like a 30 miles to the stadium, after paying the $25 entry fee our first site was a humvee and a line of about 10 new minis, we heard a racket and ran to the edge of the multi storey car park and witnessed the first coolness, a monster truck crushing cars. We stood here for about an hour watching the drag races and such, they closed off Waterlooo Quay (a main entrance to the city) for the race strip.

We entered into the stadium where all the show cars were being displayed, my first site was a chopper, love these things.

Walking around the stadium they had all types of vehicles, classic cars, imports, hot rods, super cars, army vehicles, bikes, all sorts of stuff. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Some of the custom jobs on the imports were pretty out of it, custom audio and entertainment systems, custom paint jobs, I always wander how the afford all this.

After circling the stadium a few times we headed outside for the night parade, picked a spot about 3-4 meters ground level near the race track. Parade started out with some Irish foot stomping then on to an Elvis impersonator (who was actually pretty good) and the announcer even sang some Meat Loaf. Then came the double decker bus, vintage cars, classic cars, hot rods. All the promo girls from the stadium were in the parade and also some dancers from a local strip club (hehe?).

After this things got pretty hard out, 3 drifting cars entered the track, going pretty hard all over the place, I was surprised none of them crashed, those dudes can drive, at the end of that they smoked the track out something bad.

The jet cars were something I was really looking forward to at this event, I haven't got any photos of them coz at the time I was freaked out. See the photo above that's where the 2 jet cars were positioned, when they started up it wasn't to bad but when the after burners started to kick in you could feel the shock pulse through your body and when they really kicked in everyone (including me) ran for any kind of protection, people nearly got knocked of their feet.

The nitro funny car was something I didn't know much about, all I knew was they were talking about it exploding over the load speaker all day, so I was a bit freaked. It took off like a rocket and it wasn't even a proper run.

The whole day was awesome, well worth the $25, I really wanted to go to the second day but hey there's always next year.

I need a new camera LOL.

Nothing special today (saving my pingas for tomorow) 2hot2handle is on this weekend and i'm going to saturdays one, its a huge car show with all sorts of spectacles to behold, me im wanting to see the Jet cars.

Forgive me I am a lil drunk, I went out the Hutt tonight to watch the imports, some are nice and some are ratty, there were a lot of races on the highway dang all burnouts ( usually a lot more ), we had this newly acquainted girl with us and she is a gold mine, she talks to all the hot chicks and we get to meet them, her intro line is I'm American, it seems to get peoples attention, well she's gonna send me some pics from it so I should have some good content for my blog.

Haven't heard back from the people my folio was submitted to.

Fight Night round 3

I bought Fight Night Fight Night Round 3 , must say I really enjoy it same old feel as the previous tiles only with hugely awsomer graphics and a few more tweaks to make it more enjoyable. My favorite aspect is the online playabilty, its so easy to set up, buy a top up card and your ready to role and at the moment I'm on near dialup speeds and it's still smooth as.

Now all I gotta do is work on my rank.

Sunday roast chicken

Had a nummy roast chicken tonight and all the roast veges mmm good, also went out saturday driving through town was pretty cool saw lots of interesting things, i really need to take my digi cam with me to record some of this stuff, next weekend im going to 2hot2handle car show and on easter weekend ill be going to lake Taupo, so i should have some more interesting post then.

Lol my mum also met Peter Jackson, lucky.
